Toquilla Straw Hats

HOW TO CLEAN

  • Clean off dirt by wiping down with a dry, soft cloth.
  • Avoid water contact.

HOW TO STORE

  • To handle our hats, cup the crown instead of holding the brim.
  • Store in a hat box.
  • While some of our hats are designed to be packable for travel convenience, please keep packing temporary. Prolonged compression may cause permanent damage or deformation to the hat’s structure. For best results, unpack and reshape promptly after transport.
  • Due to its natural quality, avoid water contact and do not wear our straw hats in the rain as it might lose its shape.

HOW TO RESTORE

  • To revive or reshape your hat, gently apply steam to relax the fibers.
  • Use a standard garment steamer to ease out creases from the brim, crown, or band. Hold the steamer at a safe distance and move it evenly around the hat to prevent direct moisture contact and water spots.
  • Once the material feels warm and pliable (but not wet), carefully reshape the hat by hand. For flatter brims, place the hat on a smooth surface and use a weighted object to help it hold shape.
  • Allow it to dry completely in place—ideally overnight—for best results.
